Shri Guruprasad Hegde
Guruprasad Hegde is one of the established Harmonium accompanists of India. Graduated in music, he received training in Harmonium from one of the well known Harmonium maestro Pt.Tulsidas Borkar. Besides he is learning Saarangi from great saarangi maestro Padmavibhushan Pt.RamNarayn.
He is recipient of prestigious Central Govt. Scholorship in Harmonium. He is a good
performer as harmonium soloist and accompanist as well.He is graded artist of akashavani and dooradarshan.He has given accompaniments
in many prestigious concerts in different parts of India and abroad, like Dover lane festival Kolkata,Tansen Samaroh Gwalior, St.Xavier Jan fest Mumbai, Malhar festival of Nehru Centre Mumbai, and in Katmandu, United States etc.
He is performed widely and also accompanied great artistes like Pt.Ullhas Kashalkar,Pandita Shubhada Paradkar, Pt.Ramashray Jha, Pt.Yashwant Bua, Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Vidushi Shubha Mudgal, Vidushi Prabha Atre ,Ustad Mashkur ali khan, Pt. Venkatesh kumar etc.
Guruprasad has created an individual style with inborn creativity. Being confident and sincere he is creating a distinct genre in Instrumental Music.
